Medical Social Workers

The Medical Social Worker plays a valuable role in home health care. It is the medical social worker who assesses the patient’s physical, emotional, environmental and social needs. The social worker then provides the patient with supportive resources in response to identified concerns and issues. Patient advocacy is also offered, as necessary. Norwell VNA and Hospice employs masters level licensed social workers.
